Operations
at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) were grounded this morning after a person was found dead on the runway
Police
said they were trying to establish if there were any identification
documents on the body of the man whose nationality was not immediately
known. .
An airport security source has said landing and take-off was temporarily suspended until the runway is cleared.
According to police, an initial investigation based on assessment on the man’s body shows he might have been a stowaway who fell off from a landing aircraft.
